Becoming successful is not as easy as it may seem. It takes both discipline and hard, consistent work. (6:00) Some believe that hoping for success is another way to achieve success. You know, the “hope and faith” crowd.  Well, let’s break that down. “Hope” is wanting something to happen without effort.  Where “faith” is believing in an outcome based on experience and current effort, you may not have “proof” that something will happen but, you’re putting in the effort instead of doing nothing and simply “hoping...” There is a difference! This leads us to a discussion on “always being grateful but never settling.”(12:00). This is a common theme throughout the podcast which allows the listeners to gain reassurance that “faith without works is dead”(14:30). Not all success comes with only wins, the road to success has losses, too, and throughout the podcast, the guys explore both sides of success. Another theme explored is, “with every loss, there’s a lesson, and with every lesson, there’s a blessing.” The road to success is all about the mindset that you have within yourself.

“The sky isn’t the limit, your mind is the limit. If you believe, you can have it.” (24:30). Many times, life can cause you to get caught up in focusing on the future and not on the current tasks of your present that will prepare you for a successful future. Focus on getting better daily and becoming more successful in your present. “Deal with what God put on your plate right now; you can eat that.” (35:00). Letting go of the past to be able to grow in your future is another reason why many are successful today; from former addiction to current success, it’s all based on letting go of the past, which includes letting go of friends and relationships that are not helping you get to where you want to be or, who you wanna become. “Don’t let the behavior of other people change your heart.” (40:20). To wrap up this episode of the podcast, we get into the legacy aspect of having success. “ yeah, I got a ring, but I want another 1. Yeah,  I'm grateful, but I'm not gone settle” (44:20).
